I'm beginning to feel the effects of the radiation.
It is mostly extreme fatigue and being extremely weak.
If only I could get some sleep.
I know it sounds strange, too tired to sleep, but it's happening to me.
Also, I have lost almost all control of my left arm & hand. This is especially bad for me since I'm left handed.
When I do get sleep, it's only for a few hours.

Sunday Morning 4/14/2002

I went to church with a friend, since I can no longer drive a car.
While at church, I Pray to God..

Heavenly father, I come to your house and ask for your help.
Please cleanse my heart, soul and body.
Please guide me to make the right decisions.
Please guide these tools that you have provided, that they will be most effective.
( Doctors, medicines, vitamins, minerals & herbs)
Please rid my body of this terrible illness.
Please allow me additional time on earth so that I may finish my work here.
Please show me a sign.
Amen.

Wednesday, 04/17/02

I Went in for my usual radiation treatment this morning.
The strangest thing happened during the treatment.
While radiating my brain, my eyes lit up like a bright blue sky.
My eyes were closed, so it must have been a form of corona inside the eyes.
No big deal, but it sure was a surprise, almost like something from a science-fiction story.

Finally getting a little sleep with a new sleeping pill.

Thursday, 04/18/02

Reviewing my case with my doctor, he decided to increase the dose of one of the medications.
This was a good thing, because it did cause about 20% of my motor skills to return to my left arm.
Not only that, It did increase my appetite where I might now be able to regain the 10 lbs I had lost during the last 2 weeks.
He also concluded that three of the vitamins were hindering what the radiation was supposed th be doing; I agreed with him and cut out vitamin C, B,& Beta-carotine.

Saturday, 04/20/02

The weekend has arrived. no rad treatments on the weeknds.
This is the time for my body to rebuild the damaged good cells & flush out the dead cells.
This is the most important time for me to get as much rest as possible.

I'm still typing this with one hand, thank God for keyboards..

Sunday, 04/21/02

Went to the church service this morning.

There is no way to describe the extreme fatigue the radiation treatment is causing.
No doubt in my mind, this is from the anti-bodies doing their thing.
Some of it may be caused by the medication.

Monday morning, 04:00 AM

Looking forward to the next five radiation treatments.
In case anyone is wondering, during the treatment, you don't feel anything.
You just hear a buzzing sound, and often smell ozone.
And sometime you get the illusion of seeing blue light.
Twice I got an illusion of seeing sparks in one eyeball.
This might be the effects of the xrays stimulating an optic nerve.

One might wonder,if the radiation is killing brain cells, why don't it zap your memory ??

Tuesday, 04/23/02

A friend came over and brought me a small vial of FRANKINCENSE oil.
It's really difficult to research FRANKINCENSE on the net because there are so many links.
FRANKINCENSE is used mainly in aromatic therapy.
It boost body's immune system.
You simply smell it to use it.
It is spposed to to be able to cross the BLOOD-BRAIN BARRIER
Also reduce swelling, and promote better sleep. There's a lot more it can do, here's one link of many
Yes, it does help me sleep.

Well, today was my last rad. treatment for my pelvis.
All remaining radiation treatments are for the brain tumors.
